Globetrotter Talks covers arriving, visas & paperwork, money abroad for readers who want the mechanism rather than the recommendation. We would rather explain why something is the case than tell you what to buy.
What we cover
The site is organised into 5 sections:
- Arriving — The first fortnight somewhere you are not leaving next week.
- Visas & Paperwork — How permission to stay actually works, in general shape rather than in detail.
- Money Abroad — Banking, getting paid and being taxed in more than one place.
- Settling In — Housing, health, language and the slow business of belonging somewhere.
- Leaving — Ending a stay properly, and what coming back is actually like.
Long stays and living abroad. Not short trips (The Next Postcard), not India (Traveology). Keeping the remit narrow is deliberate; a title that covers everything covers nothing well.
How we work
Articles are researched before they are written, and written by people rather than generated. Where a claim is contested we say so. Where something depends on where you live or what you already have, we say that too, instead of writing as though one answer fits everyone.

How this site is funded
We pay for this with advertising. It is worth being plain about what that does and does not mean — advertisers have no say in the editorial, they see nothing before you do, and no article here is paid placement. Anything that ever is will say so at the top.
Who publishes it
Globetrotter Talks is published by Arora Journal House, a business owned and run by Rohit Arora, registered in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. It has been publishing since 2019.

Photographs are licensed from Pexels and credited to the photographer beneath each image. We do not use generated imagery, and we do not present a photograph as documentation of the specific thing an article describes unless the caption says so.
